« I grew up surrounded by the music that my brothers were listening to, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Flatt & Scruggs, Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Dylan. One of my cousins, who was playing at the time in Levis Bouliane’s band, was bringing us all the hit records, like Fats Domino and Jerry Lee Lewis. My father listened to Classical music and Big Band. I realize now how much those different styles influenced my own musical path, going from Classical to Blues, Boogie, Folk and…Country.

And I love Country music, for its richness and variety of styles, in which, magically, you instantly recognize the Country sound. I love the “root” treatment of the instruments, electric as much as acoustic, the quality of the vocals and harmonies, the wonderful stories around everyday’s ups and downs, and the sincerity, of course, intrically present. In brief, I feel at home.”
